Terms of Use

Virgil is independent software, offered as is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We work hard to make it dependable, but you use it at your own discretion and risk.

Recording is your responsibility

Virgil is a recording tool. Laws about recording conversations differ by country and state, and some require every participant's consent. Virgil surfaces recording to everyone on a Virgil Call by design, but you are responsible for recording lawfully wherever you and your conversation partners are.

Your content is yours

Everything you record and everything Virgil remembers belongs to you. We claim no rights over it. We could not: we never receive it.

Fair use of the shared services

The call signaling and relay services exist so Virgils can find each other. Abusing them, by flooding, impersonation attempts, or disrupting others' calls, may result in a device key being refused service.

Apple

Virgil is distributed through the Apple App Store, and Apple's standard licensed application terms apply to the app itself.
